Kabel BW’s RGUs increase to 4.3 million

Kabel BW has said that during the first nine months of this fiscal year across all customer segments have shown high growth rates.

Kabel BW said that during the period revenues grew by +10.8% to €456.4 million (Jan-Sep 2010: €411,9 million).

With an increase of 15.3% to €268.1 million, adjusted EBITDA increases in the current fiscal year faster than the revenues (Jan-Sep 2010: €232.5 million).

With its increased profitability for the first time, the company said it generated an adjusted EBITDA margin of 58.7% (Jan-Sep 2010. 56.5%).

Across all product groups (TV, pay TV, telephony, Internet and mobile), the number of RGUs increased compared to the end of September 2010, at +477 thousand to 4.257 million RGUs.

For internet and cable telephony customers, Kabel BW posted a gain of 25%. The total number of customers for the two products at the end of September 2011 stood at 779,000 (Up from 624,000 on September 30, 20110).

The cabler’s pay-TV business showed the biggest gain, which increased by more than 36% to 353,000 subscriptions (259,000 the prior year). ARPU) rose in the third quarter of 2011 compared to last year from €17.80 to EUR 19.30.

“We keep our pace of growth at a high level,” said Harald Rösch, CEO of Kabel BW in a statement.
