The Russian commercial broadcaster CTC Media has reported strong financials for the third quarter despite a dip in average audience share for its main channel CTC.
The latter claimed a share of 10.2% among viewers aged 14-44 in Q3, compared to 12.3% a year earlier.
Domashny, which targets female viewers aged 25-60, meanwhile had a share of 3.3% (unchanged) and DTV, now known as Peretz, 2.0% (also unchanged).
On the other hand, CTC Media’s Channel 31 in Kazakhstan had a share of 17.7% (11.4%).
On the financial side, CTC Media, which lists MTG as its largest shareholder, had total operating revenues 12% higher year-on-year in Q3 in US dollar terms and 7% up in rouble terms on a comparable basis, to $159. 6 million (€116.3 million).
Russian ad revenues were up 9% year-on-year in rouble terms on a comparable basis.
The company had a net cash position of $132.2 million at the end of the third quarter.
