Motive Television has launched a new product that gives broadcasters and pay-TV platforms opportunities to extend their content reach beyond the TV set to the iPad and many other devices.
Known as Video2Go, its unique feature is that it gives viewers the ability to watch programming on their iPad without the need for an internet connection.
Video2Go can be provided as a stand-alone product or as an enhancement to Motive Television’s existing Television Anytime technology platform.
It is currently being market tested in the US with the broadcaster KOFY in the San Francisco Bay region.
Speaking exclusively to Broadband TV News, Leonard M Fertig, CEO of Motive, said that the company is talking to cable, satellite, broadcasters and OTT platforms in North America, South America and Europe about its products and Turkey’s Digiturk will shortly become Motive’s first satellite client.
He also said that Motive aims to support rather than compete with brands, providing more and more platforms with capabilities.
