Finnish telecom group DNA ended the third quarter with 1,035,000 triple play subscriptions, or 2.3% less than a year earlier.
The fall was put down to a reduction in fixed line telephone customers. Net sales in the third quarter amounted to €187.6 million, compared to €180.8 million in the same period last year.
EBITDA stood at €46.9 million (€48.0 million) and operating profit €13.3 million (€17.6 million).
DNA, which was formed in July 2007, launched pay-DTT services in August this year.
It has the capacity to broadcast over 20 TV channels, half of which are in HD, in the DTT network and will expand its offer to national coverage with the Welho Mix concept used in DNA’s cable network.
Also in the third quarter, DNA streamlined its cable network channel offering and launched the DNA Welho TV card product.
The latter gives access to the largest channel offering in Finland, including over 20 HD services.
It now plans to introduce a national pay-TV card as soon as possible.
