ANGA to cooperate with SCTE Cable-Tec Expo

October 27, 2011 13.20 Europe/London By Robert Briel

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and the Cologne based ANGA Cable Show have announced a cooperation agreement to support their respective congress and exhibition events, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and the ANGA Cable Show.

In the future, SCTE Cable-Tec Expo and ANGA Cable Show will act as “International Cable Show Partners” in order to more effectively meet the needs of the global cable industry and coordinate and leverage their individual activities.

They will continuously deepen their exchange regarding their conference sessions through such activities as identifying relevant topics and targeting new technologies. One of the central elements of this cooperation will be the mutual support by providing moderators and speakers for the respective technical conference sessions.

Daniel Howard, SVP engineering and CTO of SCTE: “The need for the technical expertise and relationships that SCTE in the United States and ANGA in Europe provide transcends geographic boundaries. We believe that this agreement will benefit the industry worldwide by creating new opportunities for the sharing of technical expertise, innovative approaches, industry best practices and standards development.”

Dr. Peter Charissé, managing director of the ANGA Cable Show, welcomes this excellent opportunity for an exchange of panelists and knowledge: “The SCTE Cable-Tec Expo with its high technical expertise is the perfect transatlantic partner for our European ANGA Cable Show. We highly appreciate the exchange of know how, topics and speakers, as this will surely provide some interesting insights into the goings-on in cable business across the pond and make our congress agenda even more international than ever.”
