A dispute is brewing in Romania between the news stations RTV and Realitatea TV, the former of which is controlled by Sebastian Ghita, a previous manager of Realitatea.
Local reports say that the recently launched RTV has taken over studios until now owned by Realitatea and has former Realitatea staff.
Realitatea, on the other hand, has been in a new location since the beginning of this week.
RTV claims it has secured carriage on UPC, Dolce and Digi, while Realitatea has must-carry status on cable and DTH.
The Realitatea Media Group, which includes Realitatea TV, was acquired by the entrepreneur Elan Schwartzenberg from Sorin Ovidiu Vintu earlier this year.
