The newly rebranded Spanish pay-TV platform Canal+ enjoyed a welcome increase in subscriber numbers in the third quarter.
By the end of September the former Digital+ had reached 1.83 million subscribers, compared to 1.79 million subscribers at the end of Q2.
Some 56,318 subscribers are from wholesale distribution or DTT. DTH added an extra 7,040 subscribers after a net loss of 20,788 in the Q3 2010. The churn rate fell to 13.5%.
Subscribers to iPlus and Multi+ services have risen by almost by 50% over the last 12 months.
The improvement across all key performance indicators resulted in an EBITDA of €148.19, an increase of 6.9%.
