Georgette Schlick has been appointed as CEO SBS Broadcasting BV. She replaces Eric van Stade, who left the Dutch broadcaster ‘because of a difference in opinion’.
Van Stade is the first person of the senior management to leave after the takeover of SBS by publisher Sanoma (80%) and John de Mol’s Talpa (20%)
The management team also consists of André Kreuzen, CFO, Peter Vertregt, COO and Leo van der Goot, managing director television.
Last September, Schlick joined the management of Talpa following her role as CEO at the Dutch multimedia facilities company Dutchview.
During the past few months, audience share of SBS has been declining steadily and the number of viewers has fallen significantly behind those of the RTL channels and the three national public broadcasters.
