He added that video and recognised branded apps (such as the BBC iPlayer) are the most popular, with one forecasting the weather particular successful.
Furthermore, although its apps are free at the moment, “there is nothing to stop us developing pay-TV apps if broadcasters want.”
Seferidis spoke in some length about Samsung’s content sharing feature (DLNA) Allshare. Now supported by over 70% of TV products, it offers a multiroom solution.
