Ireland’s TV3 has upgraded its online playing adding access for a number of smart phones and tablet devices.
The popular commercial channel says the Irish VOD market is anticipated to be worth in excess of €10 million by 2015.
A first in the Irish market, the new 3player adds the iPhone and iPad in addition to PC access. There is also social media integration through Facebook, Twitter and Google+. The visible screen size has been increased as has the available bandwidth.
“Our investment in this new, richer environment for catching up with our great content reiterates TV3 commitment to bringing our viewers the best possible entertainment experience, whether they prefer to watch on TV or online on PC’s or mobile devices,” said director of online Stephen Grant.
Viewers in Ireland will be able to watch the latest episodes of hit TV3 shows like The X Factor, The Apprentice, Coronation Street, Ireland AM, Emmerdale, Xposé, Tonight with Vincent Browne.
