Leading Polish cable operators plan to turn up the pressure on the incumbent telco TPSA by investing over 20% of their revenues next year.
Quoted in Parkiet, Simon Boyd, president of UPC Polska and Aster, which the company recently took over, said that it already invests this amount each year and is looking to expand to parts of Poland it is not already present in.
Its revenues in 2012 are projected to be around PLN1.5 billion (€342.2 million), meaning that it will invest in the region of PLN300 million.
Multimedia Poska is meanwhile looking to invest around 22% of its revenues, or PLN150 million, in 2012.
Its president Andrzej Rogowski has also denied that the company is up for sale.
