Virgin Media is adding another seven channels to its bouquets, including five from the UKTV stable.
The line-up brings the cablenet’s HD offering to 37 channels, 24 of which are included as part of the big basic XL TV package. The full channel line-up includes Eden HD, Eden +1, Good Food HD, Yesterday +1, Watch HD, Dave HD, with Alibi HD due to follow in 2012.
Cindy Rose, executive director of digital entertainment at Virgin Media said: “Our commitment remains to deliver and develop the most compelling digital home entertainment service available in the UK and we will continue to build on our great TV and On Demand offerings to give our customers the best range of services now and for the future.”
Virgin is a former owner of 50% in UKTV, which this week officially passed to Scripps, in partnership with BBC Worldwide.
