Easeltv is to carry out further work with Virgin Media, developing additional apps for the cablenet’s TiVo service.
Easeltv has already developed a core framework application that has been adapted to create apps to promote the launch of the latest Harry Potter movie, Virgin Media Shorts and V Festival.
The apps combine video with rich online content that gives an experience more akin to a broadcast channel than a website in both form and function.
“Easeltv has great experience in developing applications for connected TVs and invaluable knowledge in how to make the most of our TiVo powered service,” said Simon Hunt, product director, TV at Virgin Media.
Easel’s platform is based on a data-driven playlist template app.
