UPC Czech has added the local channel Stil to its digital offer.
As a result, it now provides its subscribers with a total of 110 channels of all genres, 13 of which are in HD.
Stil’s licence is held by the Plzen-based company TPMC and 60% of its output, which consists mostly of competition, comedy and magazine programmes, is produced in-house.
Around 15% of its airtime is dedicated to interactive and shopping breaks, with the remaining airtime filled by mostly Czech music clips and foreign programmes.
According to Vaclav Barton, managing director of UPC Czech, Stil was chosen as a replacement for the lifestyle channel Public, which ceased broadcasting earlier this year.
