The leading DTH platform Tricolor TV has outlined what is its new strategy in the country’s pay-TV market.
Speaking at the RF-Satrus-2011 conference and quoted by AKTR and TV Digest, Pavel Basov, the platform’s director of commercial and strategic development, said that the strategy is called ‘5D’ and refers to the number of directions Tricolor TV wishes to take.
Implementing the strategy should help the platform achieve its goals, including raising the subscriber total from the current 8.5 million to 20 million by the end of 2014.
Tricolor TV has already implemented or is finalising the introduction of such service as pay-per-view, VOD, time shifting and PVR.
It also has three information channels for its viewers and is actively involved in social media through Facebook, Twitter, VKontakte and a channel on YouTube.
