Com Hem finally closed its second quarter with a 5% uplift in revenues. BC Partners released the financials as the European Union approved the acquisition of the company.
Tomas Franzén, CEO, Com Hem, told Telekomnyheterna the deal would close next week. Current owners, The Carlyle Group and Providence Equity Partners acquired Com Hem from EQT in 2006.
Revenues at the Stockholm-based net reached SEK 1,129 million as EBITDA improved by 18% and amounted to 531 million.
“The last quarter has been one of the most eventful since I started at Com Hem 2008. We have prepared a sale of the company while we have launched a host of new ventures and entered into an agreement to acquire Canal Digital Kabel TV. We are pleased that despite an intensive period has had a strong focus on our customers and our offer, said Franzén.
In June Com Hem reached an agreement with city network company ServaNet as a first step in an increased focus on the residential market. On the services side, the rollout of the latest broadband speed of 200 Mbps continued, the service will soon be available to 1.6 million households.
