Broadband take-up is growing rapidly in Ukraine, with 4.62 million homes receiving services as of the end of the second quarter.
According to data produced by iKS-Consulting and published by ProIT, this was 43.5% more than in the same period last year.
When business users were also taken into account, the total number of broadband subscribers at the end of this June stood at around 5.3 million.
The incumbent telco Ukrtelecom was the leading provider of broadband services in Q2 with 1,215,000 subscribers (up from 1,168,000 three months earlier), followed by the cable operator Volia with 442,000 (+2,000).
Kyivstar was in third place (306,000 v 248,500) and Triolan fourth (180,000 v 160,000).
