The Slovak national transmission company Towercom has announced that it will start using the next (fifth) transponder on Astra at 23.5 degrees East from October 1.
As a result, its total satellite capacity will increase to 238 MB, allowing the company to become the leading provider of uplink services and satellite capacity in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Towercom already provides satellite broadcasting to more than 1.5 million households in the two countries.
