The Latvian cable operator Baltkom has now changed its name to Baltcom.
The move is part of a re-launch that will see the company introduce a number of new products in the near future.
Baltcom has been present in Latvia’s cable industry for 20 years and earlier this year was acquired by a Luxembourg-registered company named RPAX ONE SA, which is backed by AXA Private Equity and Resource Partners.
Its current offer consists of three main programme packages, the most comprehensive one of which includes 104 channels; eight thematic and five premium (one HD) packages; and internet access at up to 100 Mbps.
Earlier this year a proposed merger between Baltcom and Izzi– effectively the two large cable operators in Latvia – fell through.
