Digital TV has yet to take off in Ukraine, with only around 10% of viewers watching in the format.
The figure was given by Katerina Kotenko, executive director of the Industrial Television Committee (ITC) and quoted by Mediasat.
She added that it has to be decided whether to develop all the possibilities of digital TV at once or gradually.
Petr Konov from Viasat’s Vision TV meanwhile said that satellite TV penetration in Ukraine is likely to rise from 17% to 25% by 2015, while cable will stay at 30% and terrestrial fall from 53% to 45%.
Ukraine aims to complete ASO in 2013.
