Video file sharing site Dailymotion and news agency Reuters have signed an agreement that will see Dailymotion distribute live and on-demand video news content from Reuters.
Reuters video content can now be viewed on Dailymotion via a dedicated Reuters channel. Dailymotion is among the top 30 most visited websites in the world and is the first European subscriber to the Reuters Live Stream, an online service providing live video access to breaking and scheduled news events from around the world.
The agreement will see Dailymotion using Reuters Live Stream and the News Video Online, and Entertainment Video Online, services to access and distribute Reuters video content across business, science and technology, sports, movies, music, fashion, television and celebrity news from around the world.
The content will further enhance Dailymotion’s news video offering to its 114 million unique visitors, generating over 1.2 billion video views every month across all digital devices (computers, mobile devices, connected TVs and tablets).
Dailymotion is available around the world in 15 different languages and 33 localised versions featuring regional local pages and regional content.
