Romania’s leading cable and DTH operator RCS&RDS is making internet access outside the home more widely available to its subscribers.
ZF reports that the company has installed over 390 Wi Fi hotspots in 26 cities around the country in the last three months, employing equipment supplied by Huawei.
They give its 1.2 million fixed line broadband subscribers free internet access via a range of devices including smartphones, laptops and tablets.
At present only Orange provides free internet access and it is limited to parts of central Bucharest.
