Intellicore develops Horizon iPad TV application

September 13, 2011 09.14 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Intellicore, a developer of IPTV & cloud TV applications for iPad, is the company that developed the 2nd Screen application for Liberty Global’s Horizon Project.

The iPad application was shown during the IBC keynote session of Mike Fries, president & CEO of Liberty Global. The Intellicore announcement is one of many to come accompanying the demo.

“We are extremely pleased to have completed the first round of development for what we believe is the most sophisticated iPad TV application on the market today,” commented Christian Trotobas, CEO of Intellicore, in a statement. “The application offers a novel TV consumption experience and is securely integrated with the media delivery infrastructure.”

“We are very happy to be working with Intellicore on Horizon, an important strategic project”, commented Andrew Kearney, VP TV Products of UPC Broadband, the European cable division of Liberty Global. “A huge amount of the work on this kind of project is in the deep detail of the implementation of the user experience – Intellicore brings a wealth of expertise, flexibility and competence to the development.”
