The Ukrainian cable operator Triolan has revealed that it will stop carrying pay-TV channels in its analogue service.
Quoted by Pro It, its CEO Vadim Sidorenko said that from December 1 subscribers would no longer be able to receive pay-TV services for which the operator pays royalty fees.
They are understood to include up to 20 channels, among them Discovery, Eurosport and Travel Channel.
Instead, they will be offered a single package of 75 channels costing UAH24 (€2.15) a month, rather than the UAH45 a month at present.
Triolan is the second largest cable operator in Ukraine after Volia and claimed over 200,000 subscribers in 10 cities at the end of last year.
