The French cinema information channel AlloCiné TV has announced its launch on the IPTV platforms Free, Bouygues and Orange.
It will subsequently also become available on other platforms. On September 20, for instance, AlloCiné TV will go live on the DTH and IPTV platforms of CanalSat, and on October 4 on the IPTV service SFR. By the end of the year it will in addition be offered by the cabler Numericable and on the mobile TV service from Virgin Mobile.
AlloCiné TV has said its programming is available for free and 100% dedicated to movies. The channel brings news and clips from movies, as well as short documentaries, ‘king of’ specials and other movie related programming.
The channel will also broadcast one new movie each day, at 8 o’clock in the evening. A total of 190 new titles will be broadcast every year.
The channel is an extension of the popular AlloCiné.fr website, which offers movie information and a service to buy cinema tickets online.
