The Austrian DTH platform AustriaSat is adding two more channels in October, the documentary channel Planet and children’s net KidsCo.
“We are pleased that we can offer our customers, large and small, an even wider range of SD programme offerings. With the new expansion we now have a documentary and children’s channel in our portfolio. With the new HDTV channels, which we will start in September, we will also offer our customers the best picture and sound quality,” said Olaf Castritius, VP of the M7Group, owners of AustriaSat.
AustriaSat also plans to launch its new HD bouquet this September, the HDaustria package for all satellite households with an ORF smartcard. The HD offer will comprise Sat.1 Österreich HD, ProSieben Austria HD, Kabel eins austria HD and the Austrian commercial channel Puls 4 HD, as well as other private broadcasters.
AustriaSat’s offer now consists of 16 SD channels – AXN, Animax, Sat.1 Comedy, kabel eins classics, RTL Living, MTV Music, MTV Dance, MTV Hits, MTV Rocks, Hustler TV, Dorcel TV, Alpenglühen, VH1, sportdigital, KidsCo and Planet.
