The internet television service FilmOn.com has announced the creation of Football Anytime, the world’s first premium linear TV football channel for the internet, through a partnership with Pitch International.
FilmOn.com has licensed content from leading football match producers like the Premiership and the Football Association, IMG and other premium content providers. Football Anytime “will feature the best of club and international football from soccer’s oldest institutions.”
“This is the first deal of its type for us,” said Pitch International spokesman Dave Seckington. “As the market leader we feel FilmOn is the right partner for us to venture out into the brave new world of iInternet TV distribution.”
“We are very excited about adding Football Anytime to our lineup,” said FilmOn founder and CEO Alki David. “It is only right that the beautiful game plays out on our beautiful platform, whilst our iPod/iPad App continues to score big in the European App Charts.”
