The Belgian mobile operator Mobistar has added a hybrid VOD service to its satellite TV offer.
Current subscribers to the Starpack bundle are now able to request movies and TV series from a portal which is put together by the Dutch Entertainment Group, a company specialising in VOD services as well as traditional video rental shops.
Mobistar started to offer the Starpack bundle in September 2010 and offers quintuple play, consisting of mobile and fixed telephony, broadband access and IPTV, DVB-T and DVB-S television.
The VOD offers contains both library and major titles including Sucker Punch, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 1 and The Next Three Days. Titles cost between €2.99 and €5.99 per request.
Movies are delivered via Mobistar’s IPTV infrastructure. The titles can be ordered using the remote control of the Mobistar TV set-top box or with the special iPhone app.
