Sonnenklar.tv will be the third HD shopping channel on Astra when it launches on September 1. QVC HD and HSE24 HD have already announced their satellite launch on the same date and 19.2 degrees East orbital position.
“September 1st is for us in two ways a special day: the start with Sonnenklar.tv HD, HSE24 HD and QVC HD, launching three shopping channels on a single day in HD quality at Astra,” said Wolfgang Elsässer, managing director of Astra Platform Services. “With the start of these three channels in HD, we also reach the milestone of 30 HD channels for viewers in Germany on Astra.”
Astra Platform Services (APS) will play-out and uplink the HD channel to the satellite. APS is also responsible for streaming the regular Sonnenklar.tv on the web.
