IBC 2011. Hall 1, Stand No.1.F34. DEV Systemtechnik, the German manufacturer of radio frequency distribution over coaxial cable and fibre for satellite, cable, and broadcast television headends, will debut its Core Function Products series.The company is claiming cost savings up to 70% by reducing devices to their core functionality. Features cut include alarm and monitoring ports, RF sensing and redundant power supplies.
“For some broadcast, satellite, and cable RF applications, customers just want the core features and cost-savings offer with this new product series, without requiring all the value added functionality that comes with DEV’s popular full-featured products. The introduction of DEV’s CFP series marks an expansion of our ability to serve a larger segment of the media technology marketplace”, explained Jörg Schmidt, managing director, DEV.
The initial line-up consists of 1 Rack Unit L-band splitters, broadband switches and CATV band combiners and splitters.
