IBC 2011. Hall 1. Stand No. 1.A29. France Telecom’s global broadcast distribution and playout subsidiary GlobeCast and its media management systems provider NETIA will use this year’s show to highlight the ability of broadcasters to ingest content locally, manage, adapt and regionalise their media. The company will demonstrate the playout of content in several regions of the world, through NETIA’s ‘new and improved’ CMS (Content Management System), and GlobeCast’s global satellite and fibre networks. Globecast’s contribution services for (sporting) events, will also be on show.
NETIA’s new CMS software allows ‘users to connect all of their partners and vendors within a single production ecosystem, simplifying the sharing and managing of media assets. Users can now manage all of the processes within the production environment from editing through post-production and distribution with one interface’.
Demonstrations include the end-to-end life cycle of television content, from ingest through worldwide delivery with media asset management using the NETIA system, and GlobeCast’s playout and origination services, featuring content localization and content reshaping for any type of platform.
NETIA’s eighth version of digital audio automation software Radio-Assist ‘allows users to prepare publication at an early stage of the workflow, extending beyond traditional broadcasting’, where publication is the end of the line.
