IBC 2011 Hall 4 Stand No. 4.A61e. Danish broadcaster TV2 is to move to a completely tapeless ingest process. The channel is to introduce the latest version Nativ’s MioEverywhere automation system that will be demonstrated at the IBC expo in Amsterdam next month.
All broadcast ingest workflow is being ingested by MioEverywhere, starting with all of TV2’s advertising inventory. MioEverywhere will also integrate with the broadcaster’s transmission system as well as its legal and planning departments for seamless end-to-end file-based content management.
Nativ CEO Jon Folland told Broadband TV News that the end-to-end platform focused on four key areas; ingest, asset management, workflow automation and repurposing delivery. “TV2 just took one look at the system and said that was what they wanted, they did a lot of due diligence, running it through their post production companies. The realised the cost savings, the savings, and the ability to remove the erroneous aspects of tape delivery.”
Alongside MioEverywhere, Mio Desktop Client will enable TV2 to remotely validate and securely ingest content from its content providers into its automated workflow using its own accelerated file transfer protocol.
