Calling itself the “Creator of Real High Definition”, NTT Electronics Digital Video Business Group is adding some depth to its up-market HD contribution encoders with the introduction of the XVE9300 two channel synchronised Full HD Stereoscopic 3D AVC/H.264 contribution encoder. The two independently compressed channels are synchronised and multiplexed in the encoder to maintain perfect sync for both the left and right eye channels that make up a 3D image. NTT says it ‘guarantees the highest picture quality with more efficient compression than the frame-compatible Side-by-Side format’.
The encoder can also be used to simultaneously encode two independent channels with full HD contribution quality at two different bit rates. It features multiple audio format support up to 16 channels and full front panel control, as well as IP control via SNMP or a web interface. EBU backed BISS-1/E encryption is available as an option.
