The Polish public broadcaster TVP plans to add a documentary channel to its offer.
Quoted in Media2, TVP’s president Juliusz Braun said that the service, known as TVP Dokument, would make its debut later this year.
He also said there would be changes to the format of another thematic channel – TVP Historia – due to its disappointing viewing figures.
TVP currently operates three main channels TVP1, TVP 2 and TVP Info, along with the thematic services TVP Sport, TVP Kultura, TVP Historia, TVP Seriale and TVP Parlament.
It also provides TVP in HD and targets viewers outside the country with TVP Polonia and Belsat TV.
