Hungary ended June with an estimated 1,982,000 fixed access broadband subscriptions, according to data supplied by the country’s regulatory body NMHH.
The total number of xDSL subscriptions, based on data covering almost 98% of the market, stood at 794,562, while the cable broadband total, based on data covering 83% of all cable modem subscriptions, was 777,634.
Of the latter, 192,586 employed DOCSIS 3.0. The total number of broadband subscriptions via FTTx, based on 99% of all FTTx subscriptions, was 235,055.
T-Home was the leading provider of fixed broadband, with a market share of 34.6%. It was followed by UPC (20.9%), Digi (12.2%) and Invitel (10%).
