IBC 2011 Hall 1. Stand No. 1.D81. The DVB Project is to demonstrate three technologies showcasing its standards work.
There will be three demos based on DVB-C2, DVB-T2 and DVB-GEM, each of which will go beyond one-way television delivery.
For example the DVB-C2 demo will include both an IDTV and a video-on-demand service; the recently announced T2-Lite profile, optimized for reception on smaller devices, will also be seen. The third demo will be a DVB-GEM based OTT service running on an internet-connected receiver.
The organization will also be staging presentations on some of its other standards.
