John Rossiter has been appointed general manager, Central Europe, for Sony Pictures Television Network’s business across the region.
Based in Budapest, he will oversee the development of SPT’s networks in the region including AXN, AXN Sci Fi, AXN Crime and Animax.
His remit covers 13 localised feeds across Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Macedonia.
Rossiter took up his post yesterday (August 2) and reports to Eddie Nelson, senior VP, networks, EMEA, SPT.
He was most recently VP of operations and business development for HBO in Central and Eastern Europe but previously worked for Sony Pictures Entertainment and Buena Vista Television International.
