Orange continues to grow its subscriber base, reaching 4.6 million subscribers in Europe as of June 30, 2011, mostly in France and Poland.
A total of 977,000 net additions came in year-on-year, representing a 27.3% increase.
The company benefitted from a €131 million writeback following the recent agreement over the future of its Orange Sport and Orange Cinema Series channels.
Investment has been made in new customer premises equipment, particularly in France, where new Livebox and TV decoders have been deployed.
In France digital TV services, principally on IPTV but also including satellite, grew 28% year on year to 3.896 million customers at 30 June 2011.
Poland, the other main market for Orange, saw a year-on-year increase to 592,000 customers.
