TV Genius has expanded its suite of content discovery tools to include social media The new social content discovery tools, which will be on display at IBC, tap into the power of Facebook and Twitter to improve the relevance of traditional search and recommendations.
The new tools use the TV Genius Content Discovery Platform to measure engagement through Twitter and Facebook, providing live feed back into broadcasters and content owners, helping them to better understand their audiences.
The IBC appearance of the Content Discovery Platform gives the first outing to the Backwards EPG (watch out for other implementations of this one). The backwards EPG allows viewers to search through a previous day’s listings and view content that is available on demand.
Additional social content discovery features are being introduced by TV Genius to encourage viewers to find new content and become more engaged, making TV a more social, interactive experience.
