The leading Ukrainian cableco Volia has confirmed the acquisition of Falstap, the largest operator in the city of Dnipropetrovsk, for an undisclosed fee.
Falstap was founded in 1997 and provides cable and broadband services to over 100,000 subscribers in Dnipropetrovsk.
It has until now been backed by Hungary’s FiberNet.
Volia is meanwhile backed by Providence Equity Fund, Goldman Sachs, Eton Park, a family of funds managed by SigmaBleyzer: UGF lll and SBF 1V, whose investors include the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
