Anthony Lukom has been appointed the new general manager of Turner Broadcasting UK & Ireland.
Lukom has been at Turner in a caretaker role since last year, during which time its entertainment business has performed exceptionally well.
Its kids channel portfolio, for instance, saw a year-on-year increase of 16% in ratings in H1 this year, while TCM rose by 40% in the same period and ad sales by 12%.
Lukom has also been driving growth via Turner’s licensing business.
Prior to joining the company he was the MD at MySpace UK and held a number of senior positions at AOL.
