The Polish National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has announced a change to the channel line-up on the country’s first DTT multiplex.
In a statement, it says that following the decision of Kino Polska TV not to distribute its channel Kino Polska Nostalgia on the multiplex, its place will be taken by Polo TV, a channel operated by Lemon records and specialising in Polish music.
The first multiplex will now carry the public broadcaster’s three main channel TVP1, TVP2 and TVP3, along with the new commercial channels UTV (information/current affairs), ATM Rozrywka TV (entertainment) and ESKA TV and Polo TV (both music).
Polo TV was launched in May and is already distributed FTA via Hot Bird at 13 degrees East in Poland.
Kino Polska TV is understood to have withdrawn from the multiplex in order to concentrate on its activities in the pay-TV sector.
