Investment companies Apax Partners, Altice and Deficom have confirmed the acquisition of the Belgian and Luxembourg cable networks of Numericable has been closed.
Numericable is the largest cable operator in the Brussels region with approximately 110,000 subscribers and has 25% of the Luxembourg cable market with about 30,000 subscribers.
In a statement, the new owners said they “have the ambition to accelerate the growth of the operator in both countries, building on its offer triple play to win new subscribers.”
The investors are also looking for further acquisitions, as “It will also actively participate in the ongoing consolidation in a sector that remains very fragmented locally.”
