German cable operator Kabel BW in the state of Baden-Wurtemberg has concluded an agreement with RTL Deutschland for the carriage of the broadcaster’s three HD channels, RTL HD, Vox HD and RTL2 HD.
The new deal will also include catch-up TV and VOD services from the Cologne based broadcaster.
“We are pleased that we now offer our customers the HD channels RTL HD, RTL2 HD and Vox HD and HD,” said Harald Roesch, CEO of Kabel BW, in a statement. “This increasess the number of HD channels once again and makes our TV service even more attractive. We also work together on-demand television and agreed to work together on further developments in the field.”
It is planned to integrate the broadcaster’s video on demand offer, RTL Now in the Kabel BW video store.
“The idstribution of our high-definition channels on Kabel BW is a further important step towards expanding our distribution. I am particularly pleased that more and come cable viewers are now able to enjoy our HD offerings,” said Anke Schäferkordt, managing director of RTL Germany.
