Zygmunt Solorz-Zak is willing to sell 86.1 million shares in Cyfrowy Polsat, equivalent to a 25% stake in the company, in order to raise around PLN1.4 billion (€351.3 million).
The news comes as local reports indicate that the entrepreneur is on the brink of acquiring Polkomtel the operator of the mobile network Plus, for a fee believed to be in the region of PLN18 billion.
Other parties interested in buying the latter are understood to include Apax and Telenor.
Should Solorz-Zak sell 25% of shares in Poland’s leading DTH platform, he would still retain a majority stake of over 50%in the company,
