The Polish cable operator Toya is to overhaul its programme offer and by doing so provide viewers with more HD channels than any another service in the country.
As of next Wednesday (June 22), its line-up will be improved with the addition of the Fox channels Fox, Fox HD and Fox Life HD, along with the newly launched Polish entertainment channel TV6. They will be joined on July 1 by Canal+ HD, HBO 2 HD, HBO Comedy HD and Cinemax 2 HD, bring the total number of channels up to 173, of which 28 will be in HD.
Also on July 1, Toya will restructure its digital offer by introducing three basic, three premium and five thematic packages. Although the offer will be similar to that currently available, it will include two new packages – Saver, consisting of 30 channels and costing PLN34 (€8.6) a month; and Comfortable, 57 channels for PLN54 a month. HD channels will be incorporated into existing packages and made available for no additional fee.
Toya is based in Lodz and provides triple play services to 160,000 customers in six Polish cities.
