The Ukrainian alternative telco Datagroup has announced that it is to start providing TV services through its retail trademark Domashniy Telecom from next month.
Tests are currently under way and active sales will initially take place in five cities including the capital, Kiev.
In total, Datagroup is licensed to provide TV services in 12 Ukrainian cities.
Datagroup had a total of 210,000 subscribers as of the beginning of this month, of whom 110,000 opted for digital telephony and 100,000 broadband internet access.
The latter figure was 25% higher than in the first quarter of this year.
Datagroup’s expansion has been helped by $40 million (€27.4 million) in funding that it obtained from Horizon Capital a year ago.
