Netgem is to continue supplying product to the French telco SFR for the next three years, the technology company has announced. The agreement continues the supply of the Netbox N7000, a hybrid HD box, but the new contract places an increased emphasis on software and services, which will provide Netgem with a recurring revenue stream.
“I am delighted to see our cooperation with SFR extended and to materialize the evolution of our business model mix towards “Software and Services,” said Netgem CEO Christophe Aulnette. “It is with enthusiasm that Netgem teams will focus on helping SFR in the successful development of one of the largest IPTV installed base in the world.”
SFR currently has an installed base of 3 million. The new contract will run until June 30, 2014.
