The number of internet subscriptions to broadband and high-speed fixed networks as of March 31, 2011 was 21.8 million, a net growth of 460,000 compared to 2010 (+8% year-on-year), accoording to Arcep.
The number of very high speed broadband connections was 520,000, a growth of about 55,000 over the quarter, including 140,000 in FTTH and FTTB (+ 20,000 during the quarter).
Approximately 1,135,000 homes are within potential reach of very high speed FTTH, up about 36% compared to March 31, 2010.
More than 21% of these households were located in buildings where residents are offered a choice of service providers.
