Set-top manufacturer Amino Technologies has said it is expecting to report both record first-half revenues and a healthy second half order backlog when it declares its financials for the six months to May 31, 2011.
The Cambridge-based company admitted that it was impacted by component shortages following the Japan earthquake, but has managed to mitigate the effects.
It is expected that Amino will still be in loss-making territory – losses for the first half of 2010 were £0.9 million – but the company says its cash balance of £11.6 million at May 31 is ahead of analyst expectations and compares favourable with the £3.6 million of November 30, 2010.
Non-executive chairman Keith Todd said he was pleased that last year’s encouraging momentum had continued. “The substantial improvement in our cash position, and continued sharp focus on cost management and our supply chain, allied to our healthy new business pipeline, provides the Board with confidence that we continue to trade in line with management expectations for the full year.”
Contract wins have been secured in Eastern Europe, North America and Latin American markets, while trials of Amino’s Freedom range of OTT products are underway in the United States and Europe.
The company will announce its interim results on Monday, 25 July 2011.
